Honeywell has been honored with three respected awards for its “heroic efforts in hiring our nation’s heroes.” Most recently, Honeywell was designated with the prestigious "Best for Vets: Employers 2017" by Military Times. A valuable resource for veterans – and a coveted honor for companies around the country – the annual Military Times Best for Vets rankings are the result of a meticulous, months-long process. In their eighth year, the rankings evaluate companies’ culture, veteran recruiting, veteran policies, and accommodations for members of the National Guard and reserves. “The Best for Vets designation and logo cannot be bought. Only earned,” said George Altman, the Military Times editor in charge of the rankings. “The companies on the Military Times Best for Vets list earned their rankings through determined efforts to recruit and support service members, veterans and military families. These efforts deserve recognition from the country and should get the attention of veterans looking for a new career.”

For the third year in a row, Honeywell was designated as a 2016 Military Friendly® Employer by Victory Media, publisher of G.I. Jobs®. Honeywell received top scores when benchmarked to companies across key programs and policies, such as the strength of military recruiting efforts, percentage of new hires with prior military service, retention programs for veterans, and company policies on National Guard and Reserve service.

“Companies that have earned the 2016 Military Friendly® Employer award have exceptionally strong hiring programs and meaningful careers for transitioning service members and spouses,” said Daniel Nichols, Chief Product Officer of Victory Media and Navy Reserve veteran.

Honeywell was also recognized as a Best Company for Veterans on Monster and’s inaugural awards list. Honorees were chosen by a panel of experts, including officers in the U.S. Marine Corps, the managing editor, and veteran specialists. Honeywell rose through the ranks for its strong hiring numbers, overall percentage of veterans in the workforce, 2016 recruitment plans, makeup of recruitment staff, veteran retention, and special programs offered for veteran on-boarding, training and development.
